James D. Miller practices principally in the areas of Colorado probate, estate and trust litigation, Conservatorships and Guardianships, and probate review of personal injury settlements.
Prior to joining Brown & Crona LLC, James practiced for several years in town as an insurance defense attorney representing dozens of clients in a broad range of litigation matters.
Highlights of James’ career include; winning a full defense verdict for a four-day jury trial in which the Plaintiff alleged over $2 million in damages, successfully mediating a number of cases for his clients through alternative dispute resolution; the opportunity to work on a trial team that sued Jamaica and Egypt for crimes against humanity before the International Criminal Court and African Commission, and his experience as a brief writer and oralist for the Jessup International Moot Court Competition (UK)
James grew up in Colorado Springs but has lived abroad in Australia (where his mum’s family is from) and in the United Kingdom.
